How much does BBQ catering cost?

Smith’s BBQ menus vary widely in requirements and therefore cost. Delivery, equipment hire (incl. service equipment, glassware, tables/linens, marquees, etc.), staff, and other extras are quoted by event. Check our dedicated menu pages for specifics:

How much BBQ will I need per person?

We usually recommend at least 9 kilos of cooked meat for the minimum (corporate catering) order of 40. For vegan and vegetarian alternatives, allow a minimum of one main per person.

Where do you source your meat?

We only work with suppliers who share our high standards for produce. These include:
  • Master sausage maker Jean Paul at Franconian, who’ll custom-make any sausage you want
  • Award-winning butchers Godfrey’s for 100% Aberdeen Angus burgers
  • Billingsgate fish market
  • HFA-certified suppliers for halal meats as required

What alternatives do you offer for special dietary preferences / requirements?

We provide a range of meat- and dairy-free alternatives to suit the theme of each menu. These include halloumi burgers, roasted vegetable burritos, and spicy stuffed aubergine (see menus for more). We can also provide gluten- or dairy-free breads, and meet religious requirements.
None of our menus are “set” and we’re always happy to create bespoke menus to suit any themed event. Last season our chefs created a special Hawaiian menu for a company staff day, serving custom banana daiquiris to the hula- and lei-wearing guests.

Do you provide staff and equipment?

Yes. On request, we’ll provide all your service and bar staff, as well as kitchen and serving equipment. This includes tables, linens, crockery, cutlery, glassware, etc.
Disposable platters with lids are supplied at £1.50 each.
Indoor BBQ catering includes a chef, waiting staff, and chafing dishes as standard.

Can Smith’s provide mobile BBQ catering?

Yes. We can provide all types of BBQ catering, including mobile BBQs for outdoor events and pop-up venues, as well as in-house classic BBQs with chefs and serving staff.

Where do you deliver in London?

We can deliver to venues in South London (including South West and East) and Greater London.

Do you provide BBQ catering outside London?

Yes! We’ve opened a new creative “kitchen laboratory” off the M25 to serve venues in Surrey and Kent.
Delivery charge is calculated by postcode and finalised at 12 noon 3 working days prior to your event. It cannot be lowered after this time but if your requirements change may be raised accordingly.
There is also a collection charge, calculated by postcode, for pick-up of any equipment.

What about drinks?

We can provide all types of drinks, including free glass hire. All drinks are supplied sale-or-return and wine rates.
