Smith’s catering ethos is simple: reliably delivering top-quality food while exploring international cuisines. They prepare all menus from scratch using fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local certified British suppliers (the more local, the better). They are fully equipped to meet special dietary needs and offer gluten-free and vegan catering menus and halal options.

Our Milestones

Founded 1986

Chris, the Head Chef at Smith’s Catering, along with his friend Peter Platt, embarked on their exciting journey of starting Smith’s Catering Company right around the corner from the busy Smithfield Market in London.

Business Growth 2008

While Smith’s initially began its journey in Smithfield, the business grew and moved to a modern custom-built kitchen in Whitechapel in 2008. Since that exciting transition, their growth has been quite remarkable!

A Family Business 2020

Smith’s became a family-run company. Co-founders Chris and Natalie see it as a personal homecoming. As local foodies, they know where to find the best seasonal produce and are part of a thriving Kent network that values local English food.

Sustainable Growth 2021

In 2021, responding to their green approach commitment, Smith’s Catering opened a modern new kitchen near the M25 in Kent. This prime location allows Smith’s Catering to deliver and serve corporate events and private venues more effectively across Kent, Surrey, and Greater London.
